Primal R. Wijayanayake – Chairman – WIDAC
With over 30 years of professional expertise in the field of marketing and general management, Primal provides the overall corporate strategic direction to the Group including forming strategic tie-ups with global brands. Stemming from his accountancy career at Ernst and Young Sri Lanka, Primal, launched his start-up with the sole objective of introducing advanced and sophisticated interior designing solutions in Sri Lanka, which now has emerged into WIDAC Group of Companies.
Chandi Alles – Managing Director – WIDAC
With an eye for creativity and attention to detail, Chandi heads WIDAC Commercial Interiors in the capacity of Managing Director. With professional experience of over 30 years in the field of interior designing, Chandi has been a pioneer in heading many interior designing projects overseas. Under her expert guidance, WIDAC Commercial Interiors continues to grow, by setting new benchmarks in the market.
A Journey to Elegance
– With the aim of providing the finest solutions, WIDAC commenced commercial operations in 1988 with interior products and introduced the concept of window films to Sri Lanka with LLumar USA, for commercial applications.
– WIDAC reached a significant milestone in 1992 by completing its first total solutions interior project.
– Expanding its diversified product portfolio, in 1996 WIDAC launched DuPont Corian Solid Surfaces in Sri Lanka.
– Reaching another great milestone of its journey, in 2002 WIDAC bagged the Award of Excellence for Commercial & Residential Interiors by the Institute of Architects.
– Strengthening its global alliance of brand, WIDAC introduced Louvolite Blinds of UK to the Sri Lankan market.
– With the aim of providing a superlative service to its customers, in 2005, WIDAC moved to its own office premises in Rosmead Place, Colombo 07.
– Consolidating its firm standing in the market, in 2016 WIDAC was awarded the largest Office Interior Fit-out project on a turnkey basis by Huawei, Sri Lanka.
– Expanding its product portfolio, in 2016 WIDAC launched Steelcase in Sri Lanka.
